Google changes its logo design and gets rid of the old serif typeface to pave way for more modern sans serif typeface in its wordmark.

The new Google SVG logo is more performance centric as it's really small, around ~400 bytes in size.

The new single letter wordmark also features the four Google colours and is a single capital G bidding adieu to the old blue 'g' letter logomark.

This change also marks the shift towards a new company and work culture as Google is now under its parent company Alphabet!

The sans serif typeface is a new one named as 'Product Sans'.
